Power of Single Decision

        The day we accept ourselves is the day we can accept everything.

Because as a society we are quick to judge others and label them.  If you don’t fit in their criteria, you will be rejected but GUESS WHAT!   It’s ok!  what people say or think about you BUT it’s NOT ok for you to think the same about yourself. You should have a perception of your own. 

When you start using your own imagination, your own mind, everything will start making sense to you. You have to be comfortable with your own flaws, your own positives & negatives. I believe that it’s never too late to upgrade yourself, your life.  The problem we actually have is our parents never told us this.  They brought us up the way they have been brought by their parents and everything just gets passed on to the next generation. Our minds are set in a way that if we think about making a change, we will start panicking. We start thinking about ‘what people are going to say’ and funny enough these are not the unknown people, It starts from home!

You ask yourself if you are important? the answer is YES YES YES! 

You should be important to yourself, You are important to the almighty who sent you in this world, who created you with a purpose and wanted you to be on this planet. You will have to find the right reasons for being important and this will help you understand the purpose of your life. Educate yourself with all types of knowledge, be it religious, social environment or professional. Our attention and behaviour can influence the way we feel and based on these feelings we take actions. Although acceptance is the bottom line when it comes to feelings, it is also useful to be aware of the relationship between feelings, attention and behaviour. When we’ve delayed taking action for a while we meet up with resistance.  Resistance in the form of thoughts.  Resistance in the form of feelings. Basically doing anything else that needs to be done instead of the thing we are resisting doing.

Let’s talk about Mental Health in a different way or should I say ‘modern’ way? Because Mental Health is as important as any other subject. Mental Health is not a topic to be hidden or brushed under the carpet! There is NO Excuse!

Mental Health needs to be treated and soon! It’s a killer of many innocent lives. We get treated for other diseases once diagnosed and a care plan is put in place but why isn’t this done for Depression, Mental health related issues? Because the first step is to accept the problem and then you can think of solutions. If things do need to change then give the new way a chance – it might be OK.  tell yourself it’s OK!  

People around you will notice your weight gain and weight loss but they don’t notice the reasons, the sadness on your face, the emptiness in your eyes. The worries, which put you into isolation, the battles you are fighting within yourself be assured you are not alone.

Your decisions would define your life, and determine who you become therefore it is important to understand yourself and your goals.
