6th Grand Jamia Mosque (Lahore)

The light up is fantastic! “New and beautiful mosque

It is the third largest mosque in Pakistan, but it looks very beautiful because it is relatively new. This is also located in Lahore, so it is easy for tourists to access and is recommended! There are many sightseeing buildings nearby, such as Pakistan’s ‘Minar-e-Pakistan so it is convenient to see them together.

The ceiling and walls of the rooms are decorated with flashy decorations, and the fountains and garden outside are recommended as shooting spots.

At night, the entire mosque is lit up with blue and yellow lights, so it’s a good idea to visit around sunset. It is one of the most beautiful mosques in Pakistan, so there are many brides and grooms taking commemorative photos of their marriage here. Inside the mosque, you can also learn about

Pakistan’s history, as you can see Pakistan’s historical materials and photographs, as well as the scripture “Quran” with Islamic teachings. There are many gorgeous chandeliers in the dome lighting up the mosque.

Although the number of tourists is small, it is a perfect place to spend a relaxing time as it is always crowded with families.

Also, please note that the entrance is different for men and women and it is necessary to leave shoes outside when entering the mosque.

5th place K2 (Karakoram Mountains)

World famous! “The second highest mountain in the world

Most difficult mountain in the world that rises on the border between China and Pakistan. It is the second highest in the world, but it seems that its existence was unknown until the 19th century because it was so remote.

Many tourists seem to come from the Pakistani side because it is dangerous to be close to the Chinese side. The altitude of K2 is 8,611m, which is only about 200m different from Everest! It is more than double the altitude of Mt. Fuji, 3,776 m.

The mountains are covered with pure white snow and it seems that tourists from all over the world come every year to enjoy skiing on the magnificent cliffs.  It is said to be more dangerous than Everest due to the climate and avalanches, so it is better to enjoy it as sightseeing rather than mountain climbing.

4th Lahore Museum (Lahore)

The best masterpiece

Lahore Museum is Pakistan’s most visited and famous museums and remains one of the major museums in South Asia. If you want to know the history of Pakistan, this is the best! Various historical artifacts such as Pakistani materials, coins, paintings, crafts, sculptures, weapons and clothing are on display. Lahore Museum was originally established in 1865-66 on the site of the current Tollinton Market – a hall built for the 1864 Punjab Exhibition The present building was constructed as a memorial of Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria held in 1887, and financed through a special public fund raised on the occasion.

Among them, the statue of “Fasting Buddha” is said to be the masterpiece of Gandhara art. The exhaustion of Buddha’s body due to the painful fasting training has been beautifully reproduced, and it seems that many people are visiting to see the fine work at a glance.

Foreigners are more expensive than locals, but they are not so expensive and the cost performance is better than Japanese museums. Since you cannot bring your mobile phone or smartphone, you cannot basically take pictures. You can check your baggage at the ticket office. It has one of the largest collections of archaeology, history, arts, fine arts, applied arts, ethnology, and craft objects in Pakistan.

Located in the mountains of northern Pakistan, it is one of the largest lakes in Pakistan. It seems that many tourists visit every year to see the fantastic economy. he greenish-blue crystal clear and freezing water, surrounded by giant glaciers, including Malika Parbat, reflects the beauty of Saif-ul-Malook

It is the highest alpine lake of Pakistan at an altitude of 3,224 metres and 10,578 feet above sea level. From autumn to winter, it snows and is closed, so it’s best to visit during summer or spring. Since the road is narrow and steep, it is better to have someone who is accustomed to driving locally rather than renting a car, so please use the Pakistani vehicle “Jeep”, bus, Uber, etc. Boating facility is also available for adventure enthusiasts.

2nd place Hunza (Karakorum Mountains)

The stage of Nausicaa in the Valley of the Wind! Its beauty is as powerful as in the world of Ghibli.

Hunza is a valley at an altitude of 7,000 m in the Karakoram Mountains in northern Pakistan.

It is also the setting for the Ghibli movie “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”, so it seems that many people know it in Japan as well! Hunza has four seasons similar to Japan, and you can enjoy completely different scenery for each season!

The valley is full of colorful flowers and orchards, and its beauty is unbelievable, so it has been described as “Togenkyo”. You can reach Hunza from Islamabad through the Karakoram Mountains, but due to the distance, it is recommended to stay overnight before sightseeing!  It seems that the number of tourists visiting Hunza has increased in the last few years, and the number of accommodations and restaurants for tourists is increasing locally.

1st place Badshahi Mosque (Lahore)

Speaking of Pakistan, here! A place recommended by the locals

1671 to 1673, it is the largest mosque in Pakistan built by Aurangzeb, the sixth emperor of the Mughal Empire. It’s a building that you can enjoy seeing, but you can also learn about the historical background, so I think it’s a good tourist destination. A must to visit if you are in Lahore.

There are seven chapels inside the dome, which can accommodate more than 100,000 people both indoors and in the courtyard! Many tourists, worshipers and families come from all over the world, so it is always crowded with people.

The interior is very beautiful because the nets on the walls and ceiling are beautiful and the lights start to light up when the sun goes down! When it’s time for worship, you can see the prayers live. It’s a place with many tourists, so even first-time visitors can enjoy sightseeing with peace of mind!
